    Stupidity
    When I see that a person is about to do, doing, or has done something stupid, I look for the distinctions of mistaken, innocent, naïve, ignorant, misinformed, deceived, self-destructive, distracted, addled, intoxicated, adolescent, enamored, greedy, resigned, ill, religious, and any other feasible explanation. Any of these can excuse stupid deeds. In which case, there may be a remedy. Absent any of these distinctions, I assign the rank of Stupid. It saves me effort trying to help them, and lets me drop them from any lists of helpful people.
